Wrap-Up
Dear Delegates and Members of the Tea Association/Council & STI:
We are pleased to make available to you the various presentations covered at the 59th Annual Tea Convention in Cancun, Mexico. We encourage all members who were not able to actually attend the sessions to review the information carefully. While this is a more difficult way to glean the information that could have an immediate positive impact on your own businesses, it is better than never having been exposed to it.
Much of this information will be of special interest to marketing people who are charged with the development and execution of their company's annual business plan. They will be challenged to think differently about how they have historically promoted tea and will come away with new insight about how to capitalize on the opportunities available to the industry.
If you did not actually attend the convention in Cancun, we ask you to consider what you may be missing. You missed being able to ask questions directly of the presenters which included government officials, Tea Industry professionals from around the world, and experts from other industries as well as professional researchers and independent observers of trends. Questions that might have enabled you to apply what you heard to your own business models. You also missed an opportunity to personally interact with Tea Industry professionals from around the world.
No person or company can afford to live in a vacuum in a marketplace increasingly affected by events occurring anywhere in the world. Attending Tea Convention meetings regularly allows you to build a network of contacts that may very well pay off in dividends during some time of future need. In fact, many Tea Convention veterans cite the Annual Tea Convention as being why our industry is so different from all others.
Please peruse the reports and we hope to see more of you at future events.
