International Tea Importers imports fine and rare teas from around the world. Teegarten is a tea importing company with subsidiaries in Europe and the United States. We provide quality teas and service at a fair price. Teegarten buys directly from origin, and has close contacts to producers in India, Sri Lanka, Indonesia, China, Japan, Formosa, Nepal, and South Africa. We supply black, green, white, rooibos, and honeybush teas, as well as organic and decaffeinated teas.

Teegarten's founder and CEO, Stephan Kroemer, was influenced by his father, Mr. Horst Kroemer, a tea taster for 45 years. Stephan began his tea training in 1979 in Hamburg, Germany. He started Teegarten Vienna in 1992 and is successfully supplying specialty teas to distributors, wholesalers, and franchising systems. In 2004, Teegarten US was founded to support the growing US market. Karen Klubertanz oversees Teegarten's US office.

Henry P. Thomson, Inc.

Established in 1912, Henry P. Thomson, Inc. is one of the oldest and largest tea importers currently operating in the United States.

Our headquarters are located in New Jersey, but we maintain purchasing offices in Hefei, China and Obera, Argentina. For those origins where we do not maintain our own offices, we either correspond directly with the producers or have an exclusive relationship with an exporting agent.

While many of our clients prefer to purchase container load quantities delivered directly to their facilities, we also maintain sizable inventories at public warehouses in New Orleans, LA, Elizabeth, NJ and Rotterdam, Netherlands. This allows for smaller deliveries and also enables us to guarantee product quality and availability for our larger customers.
